North Western Railway introduces special trains to clear festive rush
The North Western Railway has announced major service updates to manage passenger traffic during the upcoming festive season. Managing Festival Congestion
To manage the anticipated surge in travelers, the NWR is introducing three additional trips for the Delhi-Reengus unreserved special train. According to the railway authority, train number 04415, the Delhi-Reengus Special, is scheduled to operate for three trips starting from September 3 through September 5, 2026. This service is intended to alleviate congestion and provide relief to passengers commuting between the two stations during the festival period.
Extended Services on Popular Routes
In a concurrent move, the North Western Railway has also extended the operational period of the Udaipur City-Yog Nagari Rishikesh weekly special train. This decision, covering train numbers 09609 and 09610, was finalized by the zone to address the high volume of passenger demand along this route. These initiatives are part of a broader effort by the railway administration to improve transport connectivity during the high-demand festive window.
