NWR Festive Boost: 15 Extra Coaches Added to 7 Train Pairs
To accommodate the massive surge in travelers during the upcoming October festive season, North Western Railway (NWR) has announced the addition of 15 extra coaches across seven pairs of train services. This move is aimed at easing the passenger load and increasing the chances of travelers securing confirmed tickets during the holiday period.
Managing the Festive Passenger Surge
According to Amit Sudarshan, the Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) of North Western Railway, these temporary augmentations are specifically designed to alleviate pressure on existing services. This initiative is part of a much larger operational plan by NWR, which aims to deploy a total of 135 additional coaches across 48 pairs of trains throughout the month of October.
Detailed Schedule of Extra Coach Additions
The following train pairs will receive additional coaches during specific dates in October and November:
- Ajmer-Amritsar (19611/19614): One additional Second Sleeper coach will be added from Ajmer between October 17 and October 31, and from Amritsar between October 18 and November 1.
- Ajmer-Amritsar (19613/19612): One additional Second Sleeper coach will be added from Ajmer from October 17 to October 31, and from Amritsar from October 18 to November 1.
- Ajmer-Bandra Terminus (19625/19626): One additional Second Sleeper coach will be attached for a single trip, departing Ajmer on October 18 and Bandra Terminus on October 19.
- Jodhpur-Indore (14801/14802): Two Second Sleeper and three General class coaches will be added from Jodhpur between October 16 and October 31, and from Indore between October 9 and November 3.
- Indore-Bhagat Ki Kothi (12465/12466): Two Second Sleeper and three General class coaches will be included from Indore from October 17 to November 1, and from Bhagat Ki Kothi from October 18 to November 2.
- Shri Ganganagar-Delhi (12482/12481): One additional Second Sleeper coach will be provided from Shri Ganganagar from October 16 to October 31, and from Delhi from October 17 to November 1.
- Delhi-Bathinda (14731/14732): One additional Second Sleeper coach will be added from Delhi from October 16 to October 31, and from Bathinda from October 17 to November 1.
