Located near Subhash Chowk at rail gate number 68 on the Thawe-Kaptanganj railway line, the underpass is a game-changer for local movement. For years, residents and travelers faced grueling delays at Subhash Chowk and Kotwali Road whenever the railway gates were closed. These closures often resulted in long, frustrating queues of vehicles, disrupting daily life and local commerce.

The new underpass, constructed at an estimated cost of approximately 6 crore rupees, provides a seamless passage, ensuring that train movements no longer bring the city's road traffic to a standstill.

Overcoming Construction Hurdles

The journey to completion was not without its obstacles. During the construction phase, the project team had to contend with significant technical difficulties, most notably issues related to waterlogging. However, the railway's technical experts worked diligently to resolve these drainage concerns, ensuring the underpass is fully prepared for heavy usage and weather fluctuations.

Dignitaries Attend Inauguration

The ceremony was attended by several prominent figures, including the local Member of Legislative Assembly, Padrauna Municipal Council President Vinay, various railway officials, and a large number of local citizens eager to see the project come to life.
