The Pali Marwar railway station is undergoing a massive transformation as part of a major infrastructure upgrade. North Western Railway General Manager Pankaj Sharma recently conducted a comprehensive inspection of the station to monitor the progress of the ₹97 crore redevelopment project, which is being carried out under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.

Major Construction Milestones Reached

The project aims to provide world-class passenger facilities while maintaining the local architectural essence of the region. During his visit, GM Sharma reviewed the current status of various construction activities:

  • Southern Section: Work is currently underway on a new covered over-platform to enhance passenger convenience.
  • Northern Section: The raft work for the new station building has already been completed.

The redevelopment is moving forward with a target completion date of July 31, 2026.

Safety Inspection on Jodhpur-Pali Marwar Route

In addition to the station works, GM Sharma performed a window trailing inspection of the Jodhpur-Pali Marwar railway section on October 10, 2026. Accompanied by Jodhpur Divisional Railway Manager Anurag Tripathi, the inspection was focused on ensuring the highest standards of operational safety.

The inspection covered several critical areas, including:

  • The condition of tracks and signaling systems.
  • The functionality of railway gates and underpasses.
  • The visibility and placement of signage along the Jodhpur-Luni-Pali Marwar route.

Following the inspection, Sharma issued specific directives to ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and to improve the visibility of all essential signage for safer train movements.
