Patalpani-Kalakund Heritage Train Now Runs 5 Days a Week
The Ratlam Division of Western Railway has announced a significant boost for tourists and rail enthusiasts. To accommodate the rising passenger demand, the Patalpani-Kalakund heritage train will now operate five days every week.
New Weekly Schedule
The expansion of the service is set to begin on September 30, 2026. While the train previously operated on a three-day schedule, the new frequency will allow more travelers to experience the route. The service will now run on:
- Tuesday
- Wednesday
- Friday
- Saturday
- Sunday
According to the Ratlam Division, passengers were able to begin booking tickets for these newly added operational days starting September 29.
Service Details and Fares
Mukesh Kumar, the Public Relations Officer for the Ratlam Division, confirmed the increase in frequency. He noted that while the service is now more available, the core operational aspects of the journey remain unchanged. There will be no alterations to the following:
- Arrival and departure times
- Designated stoppages
- Coach composition
- Ticket fares
