Indian Railways is completing a new 18.2-kilometer rail line between Neura and Jat Dumri in Patna. This project is part of a larger 123.2 km network connecting Neura, Daniyawan, Bihar Sharif, and Sheikhpura. The construction is finished and electrification is 95% complete.

When will trains start running on Neura-Jat Dumri line?

The Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS) will inspect the section in May 2026 to check all safety standards. Once the safety clearance is received, train services are expected to begin in June 2026. East Central Railway (ECR) CPRO Saraswati Chandra confirmed that non-interlocking work at Neura station is currently underway to connect the new line.
