Festive Rush: Railways Limits Platform Ticket Sales at Key Stations

To manage the massive influx of passengers during the upcoming Diwali and Chhath Puja festivals, Indian Railways has implemented temporary restrictions on the sale of platform tickets at several major stations across the country. This strategic move is designed to ensure passenger safety and maintain orderly movement during the heavy festive rush.

The restriction applies to all methods of procuring platform tickets, including physical ticket counters, mobile applications, and Automatic Ticket Vending Machines (ATVMs).
