Prayagraj is gearing up for a massive spiritual gathering as preparations for the 2027 Magh Mela begin in full swing. Scheduled to take place from January 15 to March 6, 2027, the event will see authorities adopting large-scale infrastructure and logistical strategies reminiscent of the Mahakumbh to manage the expected millions of pilgrims.

Under the direction of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Prayagraj Mela Authority and the North Central Railway are working in close coordination to implement a comprehensive passenger management system. The event will center around the Makar Sankranti bathing day and conclude on Maha Shivratri.
