Prayagraj & Narayanpur Bazar Specials Extended to Shakurbasti
Indian Railways has announced a significant extension for special train services, providing much-needed direct connectivity to the national capital. The Prayagraj-Dadri and Narayanpur Bazar-Dadri special trains will now continue their journey to Shakurbasti station in Delhi, offering a seamless travel experience for thousands of commuters.
Direct Access for Aligarh and Kanpur Passengers
This extension is a major relief for passengers traveling from key locations including Aligarh, Kanpur, Etawah, and Hathras. Previously, travelers had to deboard at Dadri to complete their journey to Delhi. With this change, they can now enjoy a direct route to Shakurbasti without the need for mid-journey transfers.
According to Amit Kumar Singh, Public Relations Officer for North Central Railway, this extension eliminates the inconvenience of deboarding at Dadri, thereby enhancing the transit experience for long-distance travelers heading toward the capital.

The service adjustments involve specific timings and dates for the following train numbers:
- Train 02417 (Prayagraj Junction to Shakurbasti): Following a daily operation period that concluded on October 14, this service will now operate on Sundays, Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays from October 15 to December 14, 2026.
- Train 02418 (Shakurbasti to Prayagraj Junction): The return service will run on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, operating from October 17 to December 17, 2026.
