SER Hosts Rail Jan Samvad at 367 Stations for Feedback

As part of the nationwide Special Campaign 6.0, South Eastern Railway (SER) successfully conducted the 'Rail Jan Samvad' and cleanliness drives across all 367 stations under its jurisdiction. The initiative, held on October 22, was part of a larger movement spanning over 7,000 stations across the country to strengthen the connection between the railway administration and its passengers.

Connecting with the Traveling Public

The primary objective of this massive outreach was to facilitate direct communication with passengers. By hosting these interactive sessions, the railway aims to understand ground-level issues, gather valuable suggestions, and address grievances to enhance the overall travel experience.

Top Officials Engage at Key Stations

To ensure the program's effectiveness, senior railway leadership participated in the sessions across various locations:

  • Anil Kumar Jain (General Manager, SER): Visited Shalimar Railway Station to interact with commuters and actively participated in a 'Shramdan' (voluntary cleanliness) drive.
  • Manish Kumar Jain (Additional General Manager, SER): Led the passenger interaction programs at Santragachi Railway Station.
  • Lalit Mohan Pandey (DRM, Kharagpur Division): Engaged with travelers at Kharagpur Railway Station to discuss service quality and station amenities.

Emphasis on Hygiene and Staff Support

Cleanliness remained a core pillar of the campaign. During his visit to Kharagpur, the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) also met with the station's cleaning staff. He commended their hard work in maintaining high hygiene standards and encouraged them to continue their vital contribution to railway cleanliness.

The railway administration has assured passengers that all feedback and complaints collected during the Rail Jan Samvad will be met with prompt and effective action to improve passenger facilities.
