RailOne App Update: 3 percent discount on ticket booking ends, full fare applicable now
Indian Railways has ended the special 3 percent discount on ticket bookings made through the RailOne app. This discount was available for both reserved and unreserved tickets as part of a trial period. From June 15, 2026, all passengers will have to pay the full ticket fare while booking through the app.
What is the RailOne App and its features?
RailOne is a super app launched by Indian Railways on July 1, 2025, to bring all passenger services onto one digital platform. Developed by the Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS), it integrates IRCTC services for reserved tickets and e-catering. The app provides several facilities for common passengers:

Key changes in railway digital services
The railway administration has shifted its focus toward a unified platform to make travel easier. As part of this transition, the UTS on Mobile app was phased out starting March 1, 2026, and users were moved to the RailOne app. Additionally, the railways planned to launch an advanced reservation system by December 2025 to handle 1.5 lakh bookings and 40 lakh inquiries per minute.
