States like Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, and Odisha have seen a massive jump in their annual railway budgets. This money is being used to support ongoing projects worth thousands of crores. New High-Speed Corridors and Updates
Along with the budget increase, the Railway Ministry has announced major updates for high-speed travel. Telangana will get three new high-speed rail corridors connecting Hyderabad to Pune, Bengaluru, and Chennai. Tamil Nadu is set to get two new bullet train corridors to boost travel speed. For West Bengal, a high-speed rail corridor between Varanasi and Siliguri has been sanctioned. Additionally, Punjab has achieved 100 percent railway electrification, and 30 stations in the state are being redeveloped under the Amrit Station Scheme.
