The meeting, held at the Taj Hotel in Agra, aims to bridge the gap between administrative planning and the needs of the public through direct consultation with lawmakers.

This assembly marks a milestone for the rail division, as it is the first such formal consultation held in three years. The session, which commenced at 11 AM, serves as a platform to address the growing demands for modernized facilities and enhanced connectivity within the Agra division.

Key Focus Areas for Rail Growth

The agenda for the meeting is comprehensive, focusing on several critical pillars of railway progress:

  • New Train Services: Deliberating on the introduction of fresh train routes to improve regional connectivity.
  • Enhanced Stoppages: Addressing requests for additional train stops, with a specific focus on Tundla Junction.
  • Station Development: Planning large-scale development projects for local railway stations to improve passenger amenities.
  • New Rail Projects: Evaluating proposals for upcoming rail infrastructure projects throughout the Agra region.

High-Level Representation

The session is being attended by top-tier railway leadership, including:

  • Naresh Pal Singh, General Manager of North Central Railway.
  • Gagan Goyal, Divisional Railway Manager (DRM).

Sanjay Kumar Gautam, Public Relations Officer for the Agra Rail Division, confirmed that a total of 13 parliamentarians have been invited to participate. This group includes nine Lok Sabha MPs and four Rajya Sabha MPs representing various constituencies such as Agra, Mathura, Dholpur, Fatehpur Sikri, Bharatpur, Dausa, Alwar, Faridabad, and Etawah.

Notable Participants

Among the prominent invitees are Naveen Jain, Ramjilal Suman, and Tejveer Singh. Additionally, Captain Singh Chahar will attend the session as a representative for Rajya Sabha MP Jayant Chaudhary.
