Further developments occurred in June 2026, when Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw restored the stoppage of the Indore-Jabalpur Overnight Express (train numbers 22191 and 22192), which had been discontinued during the COVID-19 pandemic. This restoration was secured following concerted efforts by MP Alok Sharma, who had previously lobbied the Railway Ministry in December 2025 for the addition of eight special train stoppages to accommodate the rising footfall at Kubereshwar Dham and the growing commercial and administrative demands of the region.
