Rani Kamalapati–Danapur Festive Specials: New Trains to Ease Diwali & Chhath Puja Travel!
To tackle the massive surge in passenger demand during the upcoming Diwali and Chhath Puja festivals, West Central Railway has announced the operation of bi-weekly special train services between Rani Kamalapati and Danapur. These services are specifically designed to assist travelers heading toward Bihar and Uttar Pradesh during the peak holiday season.
Service Details: Train No. 01667 and 01668
A total of 22 trips will be conducted, providing 11 services in each direction. These 24-coach special trains aim to provide much-needed relief to commuters during the festive rush.
Rani Kamalapati to Danapur (Train No. 01667)
- Operational Period: From October 12, 2026, to November 16, 2026.
- Schedule: Departs every Monday and Friday at 14:25 hrs.
- Arrival: Reaches Danapur at 09:15 hrs the following day.
Danapur to Rani Kamalapati (Train No. 01668)
- Operational Period: From October 13, 2026, to November 17, 2026.
- Schedule: Departs every Tuesday and Saturday at 11:20 hrs.
- Arrival: Reaches Rani Kamalapati at 10:50 hrs the following day.

Nationwide Festive Connectivity Plan
These special trains are part of a massive Indian Railways initiative to manage festive travel. Between September and December 2026, over 100 special train services will be running to connect major hubs with states including Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Assam, Tamil Nadu, and Andhra Pradesh. Notably, the Bhopal Railway Division alone plans to operate approximately 30 special trains across 10 different states.
