Rewari Alwar Station Navigation to Get High-Tech Upgrade
Rewari and Alwar stations will soon feature touchscreen kiosks and QR-based mobile navigation to guide passengers to platforms seamlessly.

Travelers will soon enjoy much easier Rewari Alwar station navigation as authorities approve new digital kiosks. Indian Railway officials have officially greenlit the installation of interactive touchscreen wayfinding systems and mobile support at both the Rewari and Alwar railway stations.
A Digital Solution for Passenger Congestion
The initiative is designed to tackle the growing challenges of passenger confusion and station congestion. By providing real-time information regarding station facilities, the new technology will ensure a smoother journey for commuters.
Modeled after the successful implementation at Nagpur Central Railway Station, these kiosks will be strategically positioned in primary circulation areas near the entrances of both stations to ensure maximum visibility and accessibility.
3D Maps and QR Code Integration
The upcoming digital systems will offer more than just basic information. Passengers will be able to interact with:
- Detailed 3D and Visual Maps: Providing a clear view of the entire station premises.
- Mobile Navigation Support: Passengers can scan QR codes displayed on the kiosks to receive step-by-step digital directions on their own smartphones.
This mobile feature is intended to guide travelers seamlessly from ticket counters directly to their designated platforms.
Rapid Implementation by North Western Railway
The project is being overseen by the Jaipur division of the North Western Railway. In an effort to modernize passenger amenities at major hubs, the railway administration has mandated that the development work be expedited.
Officials have set a target to complete the installation of these smart navigation tools within the current fiscal year, marking a significant step forward in streamlining the commuter experience.
