Rewari Railway Junction: New Rapido pickup point and passenger lounge to be launched soon

Rewari Railway Junction is set to enhance its passenger facilities by introducing a dedicated Rapido pickup point and a lounge facility. This initiative follows the successful implementation of similar services at Jaipur Railway Station and is managed by the Jaipur Division of North Western Railway. The primary goal is to provide a safe, comfortable, and transparent transportation booking environment for passengers arriving at the station.

What facilities will passengers get at Rewari Junction?

The new setup will include a designated waiting area where passengers can sit comfortably while waiting for their transport. Trained staff from Rapido will be available on-site to assist passengers with ride bookings. This is specifically designed to help senior citizens, tourists, and people who are not very familiar with mobile applications. The presence of official staff helps in reducing congestion at the station exit and prevents unauthorized vendors from bothering travelers.

Key features of the upcoming facility

Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Pooja Mittal mentioned that the focus of this project is on passenger safety and transparent pricing. The fares will be determined strictly by the Rapido app, ensuring no extra charges are taken from the passengers. This development is part of the larger redevelopment of Rewari Junction under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.
