Indian Railways introduces Rewari Ringas unreserved special train for passengers

Indian Railways has announced the introduction of a special unreserved train service between Rewari and Ringas to help passengers travel smoothly during ongoing infrastructure upgrades. This special service is scheduled to operate on September 21 and 22, 2026, specifically designed to minimize inconvenience caused by major track enhancement projects across the region. Here is a quick overview of the key updates affecting your travel: Train operations are impacted due to double-tracking work on the Phulera-Ringas-Rewari section running throughout September 2026. Several regular services including train numbers 19621, 19619, and 19620 remain cancelled until September 24, 2026. Long-distance express trains such as the Delhi-Jaisalmer and Chandigarh-Bandra Terminus services are also facing operational modifications. Passengers must verify their updated train schedules before starting their journey.

Train Cancellations and Short Terminations

The ongoing technical works and double-tracking initiatives on the Phulera-Ringas-Rewari rail section of the Jaipur Division have led to temporary changes in train timetables. In addition to the continuous cancellation of train numbers 19621 (Phulera-Rewari), 19619 (Phulera-Rewari), and 19620 (Rewari-Phulera) until September 24, 2026, trains numbered 59634 (Ringas-Rewari) and 59633 (Rewari-Ringas) were already cancelled on September 19 and 20, 2026. Furthermore, on September 22, the Phulera-Rewari service will be short-terminated at Bandikui, while the Rewari-Phulera service will begin its journey from Bandikui instead of its original starting station. Commuters travelling on long-distance routes should note that services like the 14087 Delhi-Jaisalmer, 15091 Dorai-Tanakpur, 22950 Delhi Sarai-Bandra Terminus, and 22452 Chandigarh-Bandra Terminus express trains have also experienced route and schedule adjustments. Travelers are strongly urged to check their current train status through official railway channels to avoid last-minute hassle.

Alwar Station Redevelopment under Amrit Bharat Scheme

Aside from the immediate operational changes, major development work is underway as part of the Amrit Bharat Station scheme at Alwar railway station. This ambitious project, backed by an investment of ₹111.72 crore, aims to modernize passenger amenities and station infrastructure significantly. The redevelopment plan includes demolishing old administrative offices, relocating the GRP station, and building brand-new, wider foot-over-bridges for safer pedestrian movement. Additionally, progress is well underway on constructing a new Railway Over Bridge in Alwar to improve overall connectivity and traffic flow. These long-term infrastructure upgrades will ultimately deliver a vastly improved and modern travel experience for everyone using the network.
