Railway Protection Force arrests two ticket touts in Rupsa and Uluberia
The Railway Protection Force arrested two illegal ticket touts during recent raids conducted at Rupsa and Uluberia railway stations as part of an ongoing crackdown against the illegal procurement and sale of railway reservation tickets. These operations aim to ensure genuine passengers get fair access to confirmed train tickets without falling prey to unauthorized agents. Railway Protection Force teams raided the Passenger Reservation System counters at both stations on Wednesday and apprehended the accused individuals. Diwakar दास aged 22 years was caught under suspicious circumstances at the Rupsa railway station Passenger Reservation System counter. During a thorough search of his belongings, authorities recovered two railway reservation tickets valued at 16360 rupees, one blank requisition form, and 420 rupees in cash. During subsequent interrogation, he confessed to charging extra money from helpless passengers to procure tickets for them. Following the inquiry, the accused was produced before the local court.
