Railway Recruitment Board opens final window to update bank details for exam fee refunds

The Railway Recruitment Board has officially announced a final opportunity for candidates to rectify their bank account details to facilitate the refund of examination fees. This crucial correction window is specifically intended for applicants whose earlier refunds failed due to incorrect or incomplete information provided in their applications. The correction process commenced on September 16, 2026, and will remain active until September 28, 2026, at 11:55 PM. Candidates must visit the official RRB website at https://www.rrbapply.gov.in to update their information. The board has strongly emphasized that this is the definitive final chance for such updates, and no further requests will be entertained after the deadline expires.
Important Conditions and Eligibility for Refunds
Eligibility for this examination fee refund is strictly limited to candidates who physically appeared for the Computer Based Test. Candidates who remained absent during the examination are not entitled to any refund. Furthermore, the board has mandated that the receiving bank accounts must be properly linked with Aadhaar. If an account is not currently Aadhaar-seeded, candidates must link it via the NPCI portal beforehand to ensure a completely smooth and successful transaction. This ongoing update process applies to eligible candidates from various examinations conducted across the 2024 and 2025 recruitment cycles. However, it is important to note that advertisement number 09/2025 is excluded from this notice as it remains under a separate, ongoing refund process. While the majority of candidates from the 2024 and 2025 cycles have already received their rightful refunds, this special remedial measure has been introduced specifically to clear all remaining pending cases.
