RRB Station Master Recruitment: 1,250 Vacancies Announced!
The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has officially announced a major recruitment drive for approximately 1,250 Station Master positions. This announcement, issued under notice CEN 08/2026, provides a significant opportunity for graduates looking to build a career within the Indian Railways.

Eligibility Criteria and Salary Details
To qualify for these Station Master roles, applicants must meet specific educational and age requirements:
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must hold a graduation degree from a recognized university.
- Age Limit: Applicants should be between 20 and 30 years of age as of the cut-off date of January 1, 2027. Standard age relaxations are applicable for reserved categories.
- Pay Scale: The selected candidates will be appointed under Pay Level-6 of the 7th Pay Commission.
New Exam Pattern and Selection Process
The recruitment process involves a multi-stage evaluation. For the first time, the exam pattern has been updated to include an English language section. The selection will be based on the following components:
- Computer-Based Test (CBT): This written examination will carry a 70% weightage in the final selection.
- Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT): This test will account for the remaining 30% weightage.
Following the successful completion of these tests, candidates will proceed to document verification and must pass an A-2 standard medical examination.

The application fee structure is as follows:
- General, OBC, and EWS candidates: ₹500
- SC, ST, PH, and Female candidates: Reduced fees apply.
