Indian Railways has sanctioned a multi-crore budget to increase train speeds to 130 kmph on the Lalkuan-Rudrapur and Rudrapur-Rampur sections. Budget and safety fencing details for high speed
The railway administration has allocated specific funds for safety fencing between Lalkuan and Rampur covering a total distance of 126 kilometers. Senior DCM Sanjeev Kumar Sharma confirmed that fencing is essential in areas with high stray animal movement to maintain a speed of 130 kmph. Work has already started on several sections and the speed increase is expected to be visible from April onwards.
