RVNL Secures ₹404.88 Cr Contract for Bhadrak-Vizianagaram Third Line

Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has achieved a significant milestone by winning a major contract valued at ₹404.88 crore from the East Coast Railway. This massive project is dedicated to the development of a third railway line across the 385-kilometer stretch connecting Bhadrak and Vizianagaram.
Project Timeline and Official Details
The company was previously recognized as the lowest bidder (L1) on September 3, 2026. Following this, the Letter of Acceptance (LOA) was formally issued on September 18, 2026. RVNL subsequently disclosed the contract details on September 19, 2026, in compliance with SEBI (LODR) Regulations. The entire project is scheduled to be completed within 912 days from the date the LOA was issued.
Comprehensive Scope of Infrastructure Work
The contract involves an extensive array of engineering tasks required to expand the rail capacity. The work to be undertaken by RVNL includes:
- Civil Engineering: Construction of roadbeds, building structures, and the supply of ballast.
- Bridges and Subways: Development of both major and small bridges, along with Railway Underbridges (RUBs) and limited height subways.
- Track and Electrification: Permanent way linking and comprehensive electrification works.
- Utilities and Communication: Signaling and telecommunication utility shifting, as well as modifications to HT/LT lines between Khurda Road and Gangadharpur.
Note: The total contract value of ₹404.88 crore is
