Festive season travel just got a bit easier for commuters traveling between Gujarat and the National Capital. To manage the massive surge in passenger volume expected during the upcoming holidays, the North Western Railway has announced the operation of a new one-way reserved special service, the Sabarmati-Delhi Special (Train No. 04251).

Schedule and Route for Sabarmati-Delhi Special

According to Chief Public Relations Officer Amit Sudarshan, this special service is designed to provide relief to travelers during the peak festive period. The train is scheduled to depart from Sabarmati on October 10, 2026, at 10:55 PM, and is slated to arrive at Delhi Junction on October 11, 2026, at 5:25 PM.

The train will provide scheduled stops at several key stations to serve passengers across the region, including:

  • Mehsana
  • Palanpur
  • Abu Road
  • Falna
  • Marwar Junction
  • Beawar
  • Ajmer
  • Jaipur
  • Bandikui
  • Alwar Junction
  • Rewari
  • Gurgaon
  • Delhi Sarai Rohilla

Ayodhya Cantt to Sabarmati Special Service

In a strategic move to optimize train operations, the railway is also introducing a special service between Ayodhya Cantt and Sabarmati (Train No. 04250). This service will depart from Ayodhya Cantt on October 9, 2026, at 6:20 PM, reaching Sabarmati at 7:00 PM on October 10, 2026.

To ensure efficient resource management, the railway has confirmed that the rake from the Ayodhya Cantt-Sabarmati service will be utilized for the onward journey of the Sabarmati-Delhi Special.

Modern LHB Coach Composition

For enhanced passenger comfort and safety during the busy festive season, both special train services will feature a modern composition of 19 LHB coaches. This ensures a smoother and more reliable journey for all passengers traveling on these routes.
