The service, which utilizes modern Linke Hofmann Busch (LHB) coaches, commenced its operations on October 30, 2026, following a virtual flag-off by the Prime Minister.

The introduction of this daily service is designed to significantly strengthen regional and inter-state rail connections. Divisional Railway Manager (Ahmedabad) Ved Prakash confirmed that the new service will provide much-needed connectivity for passengers traveling across state lines. The implementation of this service has been coordinated across several railway zones, including the North Western Railway, Northern Railway, North Central Railway, Western Railway, and West Central Railway.
