The PWD has identified three specific locations where traffic congestion is a major problem. These include the Bahjooi crossing, the Chandausi-Sambhal route, and the Bhaitari railway gate. Once these overbridges are completed, vehicles will no longer have to wait for trains to pass, making travel faster and safer for the local public.
Project details and previous approvals
The government has already shown interest in improving connectivity in this region. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath previously approved overbridges for Chandausi and Bahjooi. Additionally, a project for the 36B railway overbridge in Chandausi was launched with a budget of 56.53 crore rupees. Another major bridge on the Sambhal-Chandausi route was announced with a budget of 102 crore rupees, funded by the Central Road and Infrastructure Fund (CRIF).
