SCR Alert: 8 Trains Cancelled & Major Delays for Track Upgrades
Passengers traveling through the Hyderabad Division will face significant disruptions as South Central Railway (SCR) has announced the cancellation of eight trains and the rescheduling of several others. This decision comes as part of essential non-interlocking infrastructure works at the Manoharabad Yard.
The upgrades are a critical component of the ongoing track doubling project between Medchal and Akanpet. These service changes are scheduled to take effect from October 17, 2026, to November 22, 2026. Commuters are advised to plan their journeys in advance to avoid inconvenience.
List of Cancelled Train Services
Several passenger and local services will be completely suspended during the work period. The following trains will not operate:
- Kacheguda–Nizamabad (77601) and Nizamabad–Kacheguda (77602): Suspended from October 17 to November 22, 2026.
- Secunderabad–Siddipet (77653 & 77655) and Siddipet–Secunderabad (77654): Cancelled from November 16 to November 22, 2026, except on November 18.
- Siddipet–Secunderabad (77656): Cancelled from November 16 to November 22, 2026, except on November 19.
- Kacheguda–Medak (57301) and Medak–Kacheguda (57302): Suspended from November 16 to November 22, 2026.
Major Train Delays and Rescheduling
In addition to cancellations, several long-distance and regular services will experience significant delays due to the ongoing construction work:
- CST Mumbai–Lingampalli (17057): Expected to be delayed by 60 minutes from November 15 to November 21.
- Bhagat Ki Kothi–Kacheguda (17606): Expected to be delayed by 75 minutes from November 14 to November 20.
- Lingampalli–CST Mumbai (17058): Expected to be delayed by 60 minutes from November 16 to November 22.
- Kacheguda–Purna (77605): Expected to be delayed by 60 minutes from November 16 to November 22.
Special Services for Dhamma Chakra Pravartan Diwas
To accommodate the increased passenger volume during the Dhamma Chakra Pravartan Diwas celebrations, the railway has sanctioned two special train services between Nanded and Nagpur:
- Train No. 07085 (H.S. Nanded–Nagpur Special): Departs Nanded at 8:00 PM on October 19 and arrives in Nagpur at 10:25 AM the following day.
- Train No. 07086 (Nagpur–H.S. Nanded Special): Departs Nagpur at 11:55 PM on October 20 and arrives in Nanded at 9:00 AM on October 21.
