Key updates include the Chakradharpur Division cancelling 20 trains and diverting six others between September 25 and October 4, 2026, for fifth-line laying work. North Central Railway, South Western Railway, North Western Railway, and Central Railway are also executing critical engineering blocks that will impact popular long-distance trains. In the South Western Railway zone, maintenance between Shrivagilu and Yedakumeri affects Yesvantpur-Mangaluru and Yesvantpur-Karwar services. North Western Railway has announced that the Udaipur City–Chandigarh Express (20989) will short-terminate at Ambala on multiple dates. Meanwhile, Central Railway has scheduled a mega block between Hadapsar and Ghorpadi from September 19 to October 4, resulting in 42 cancellations and 25 diversions.
