Sheikhpura Railway Crossings: Proposal for 4 new overbridges pending for approval
Commuters in Sheikhpura are facing severe traffic jams every day due to five railway crossings in the city. The traffic system has collapsed, causing huge problems for local people. To solve this, the Path Nirman Vibhag has sent a proposal for four Railway Overbridges (ROB) to the state headquarters, but the approval is still pending.
Which locations will get new overbridges
The proposal includes the construction of overbridges at four key locations to ease the daily traffic pressure. These locations are:
- Dallu Chowk
- Hasanganj
- Jakharaj Sthan
- Sahnora Railway Crossing (on Sheikhpura-Shahpur route)
Among these, RD College, Dallu Chowk, and Hasanganj are the busiest spots, where more than one lakh vehicles pass every day.
What is the current status of the project
The Path Nirman Vibhag executive engineer stated that the proposal was sent three months ago, but no response has been received from the state headquarters yet. However, other infrastructure projects are moving forward in the district.
