Shivpuri Railway Station: Modern facilities and more train stoppages under Amrit Bharat Station Scheme
Shivpuri Railway Station (SVPI) under the Bhopal division of West Central Railway is getting a major makeover. The station is being redeveloped under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme with a total approved budget of 20.12 crore rupees. Most of the work was nearly 80% complete by May 2025 to make travel easier for passengers.
What new facilities are being added at Shivpuri Station?
The redevelopment focuses on passenger comfort and better infrastructure. A new Foot Over Bridge (FOB) with a width of 15 meters is replacing the old 3-meter bridge. The station is also getting several other upgrades to improve the experience for daily commuters and tourists.
