Indian Railways has already completed the necessary initial survey for the overbridge and submitted a formal project report to the Divisional Railway Manager in Lucknow. The project site currently faces massive logistical hurdles because the busy railway crossing is situated directly on the main Lucknow-Kanpur rail route.

According to official railway data, the crossing gate currently remains closed for an astounding 10 hours daily to safely accommodate the passage of 53 pairs of passenger and goods trains.
