In a historic development for the Vindhya region, Sidhi rail connectivity has reached a major milestone. The Sidhi district has officially been integrated into the Indian Railway network as Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav virtually inaugurated 118 kilometers of new rail sections on October 24, 2026.

Expanding the Network: Satna to Churhat

The new infrastructure expansion consists of two vital stretches: the 53-km Satna-Devendranagar line and the 65-km Rewa-Churhat stretch. A significant engineering achievement was noted in the Rewa-Churhat section, which features a 3.33-km tunnel meticulously constructed through challenging hilly terrain to ensure reliable passage.
