Overview of Special Trains for the Festive Season
The festive season has commenced, prompting many individuals who migrated to large cities for job opportunities to return to their hometowns. A significant challenge during this period is the shortage of train seats, resulting in passengers struggling to secure tickets. Consequently, many are left with no choice but to travel in general compartments. In response to this issue, Indian Railways has initiated special train services to accommodate the increased passenger demand, including a newly announced service between Patliputra and Chhapra.
Details of the Special Train Service
To facilitate the festive travel of passengers, the East Central Railway has introduced a pair of special trains, numbered 05297/05298, which will operate between Patliputra and Chhapra from October 9, 2024, to December 31, 2024. As stated by CPRO Saraswati Chandra, this service is designed to alleviate the inconvenience faced by travelers during the festival rush. The special trains will be operated using the Patliputra-Darbhanga-Patliputra Intercity Express (train no. 15507/08).
Train Schedule
The special train 05297 will depart from Patliputra at 08:15 AM daily, reaching Chhapra at 10:50 AM, with stops at various stations along the route. Conversely, train 05298 will leave Chhapra at 15:20 PM daily, arriving back at Patliputra at 17:55 PM, also making stops at various stations. This schedule is set to remain in effect from October 9, 2024, through December 31, 2024, ensuring that travelers heading to Chhapra face no difficulties during the festive season.
