Supaul Railway Station: Modern building and new facilities to be ready by June 2026
The Supaul district in Bihar is getting a major railway upgrade. A new modern station building is being constructed under the Gati Shakti Project of East Central Railway, Hajipur. This project aims to provide high-standard facilities to passengers and is expected to be open by June 2026.
What new facilities will passengers get at Supaul Station?
The modernized station will have several advanced amenities to make travel easier. The railway is building improved waiting halls, better ticket counters, and a more efficient cleanliness system. To manage traffic, dedicated parking stands are being developed on both sides of the circulating area. Additionally, a new entry gate is being built from the Southern Hathkhola Road for better access.
How will Supaul become a Railway Junction?
Supaul Railway Station is being upgraded to a junction due to new rail line connectivity. It will connect routes from three different directions: Supaul-Araria, Supaul-Saharsa, and Supaul-Saraigarh. This change will make the station a key hub for the region.
