Commuters traveling between Delhi and Jhansi need to prepare for a significant Taj Express terminal change. Northern Railway has announced that the popular train will no longer originate from or terminate at New Delhi Railway Station.
New Operational Base at Hazrat Nizamuddin
Starting November 1, 2026, the Taj Express will move its operations to Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station. This modification to the train's terminal is part of Northern Railway's ongoing efforts to optimize rail operations and improve efficiency.
Revised Schedule for Train 12280
For passengers traveling from Delhi to Jhansi, Train 12280 will now depart from Hazrat Nizamuddin. While the train previously departed from New Delhi at 6:55 AM, the new departure time from the revised terminal will be 7:05 AM.
Revised Schedule for Train 12279
The return journey, Train 12279 from Jhansi, will also see adjustments to its arrival timing. The train, which previously arrived at Hazrat Nizamuddin at 9:05 PM and departed at 9:07 PM, is now scheduled to arrive at the station at 9:25 PM.
