Impact on Express Trains and Other Services

Beyond the total cancellations of specific MEMU services, the Tatanagar-Asansol section will see further operational changes. Railway officials have confirmed that several other trains will undergo short termination or short origination, meaning they may not travel their full scheduled distance.

Additionally, passengers traveling on express trains should prepare for delays. Certain express services will be subjected to controlled speeds throughout the maintenance window to ensure safety during the technical works.

Ensuring Long-Term Rail Safety

The railway administration stated that these measures are being implemented to enhance the long-term safety and efficiency of the rail infrastructure within the Adra Division. By performing these technical upgrades now, the railway aims to prevent future issues and ensure smoother journeys.

Passengers are strongly advised to check the latest status of their trains through official railway inquiry services before starting their journey to avoid any inconvenience caused by these scheduled disruptions.
