Big Relief: Tatanagar-Rourkela Train Block Cancelled

Passengers traveling during the upcoming Durga Puja festivities can now enjoy a hassle-free journey. The South Eastern Railway (SER) has announced the cancellation of the previously scheduled pre-Non Interlocking (NI) work in the Bandamunda-Rourkela section. This move ensures that 44 trains, which were expected to face cancellations, rescheduling, or diversions, will now operate according to their regular timetables.

Details of the Cancelled Work

The Chakradharpur Rail Division had originally planned to carry out a line block from October 4 to October 13. The primary objective of this work was to facilitate the integration of a fifth rail line at the Bandamunda A cabin.

Aditya Chaudhary, the Senior Public Relations Officer and Commercial Manager of the Chakradharpur Rail Division, had previously confirmed that this disruption would impact services between Tatanagar and Rourkela.
