train numbers 52453 and 52454 between the two stations. As part of the initial resumption,
train number 52453 departed from Dharampur at 7:50 a.m. and arrived in Shimla at 11:50 a.m. The return service,
train number 52454, is scheduled to depart Shimla at 5:45 p.m., arriving in Dharampur at 9:11 p.m. To ensure safe and efficient operations, the Ambala Division has directed officials to provide necessary crew members, train managers, and shunters. Shimla Railway Station Superintendent Sanjay Gever confirmed the restoration efforts.
While this segment has reopened,
full operations across the broader Kalka-Shimla rail route remain suspended until September 13 to allow for ongoing repairs at the damaged site. To assist passengers during this transition, the Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) has adjusted its bus connectivity between Kalka and Dharampur from
