To accommodate the massive surge in passenger traffic for the upcoming examinations, Indian Railways has announced the deployment of UPSSSC PET 2026 special trains and intensive crowd management protocols across Uttar Pradesh. These measures are designed to ensure that candidates can travel safely and punctually to their respective examination centers.

The examinations are scheduled to take place on October 25, October 30, and November 1, 2026. With two daily shifts running from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, the railways are preparing for high-density travel during these specific windows.

To facilitate easy movement for students, the Railways has introduced several 'unreserved examination special' trains. These services aim to provide affordable and direct connectivity on high-demand routes. Key services include:

  • Prayagraj Junction to Virangana Lakshmibai Jhansi
  • Kanpur Central to Mathura Junction

The North Central Railway (NCR), specifically the Prayagraj Division, is coordinating these logistical efforts to ensure that the additional services run smoothly and meet the specific timing requirements of the exam shifts.

Strict Crowd Management and Station Security

Managing the influx of thousands of candidates at major railway hubs is a top priority. Authorities at busy stations such as Kanpur Central and Bareilly have implemented several strategic measures to prevent platform overcrowding:

  • Holding Areas: Designated zones have been established to manage passenger flow before they reach the platforms.
  • Batch Boarding: To maintain order, officials are implementing a system where passengers are boarded in specific queues or batches.
  • Enhanced Surveillance: Real-time CCTV monitoring is being utilized to track crowd density.
  • Security Patrols: Coordinated patrols by the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Government Railway Police (GRP) are active to ensure passenger safety.

Infrastructure Support and Operational Flexibility

Beyond train services, the railway administration has bolstered station infrastructure to assist candidates. Additional ticket counters and dedicated help desks have been set up to reduce waiting times and provide immediate assistance to travelers.

Furthermore, divisional offices in Prayagraj, Jhansi, and Agra are maintaining high levels of operational flexibility. This allows officials to respond to real-time demand by:

  • Extending existing train services.
  • Adjusting train timings to align with examination schedules.
  • Deploying additional rakes to handle sudden increases in passenger volume.
