UPSSSC PET 2026: Special Trains Deployed for Exam Rush
Indian Railways deploys special trains and extra rakes to manage the heavy passenger rush for the UPSSSC PET 2026 exams in Uttar Pradesh.

To manage the massive surge of candidates appearing for the UPSSSC PET 2026 examinations, Indian Railways and the North Central Railway (NCR) have rolled out an extensive operational strategy. Authorities have prioritized the deployment of UPSSSC PET special trains to ensure students can travel safely and efficiently to their examination centers.
Massive Deployment at Kanpur Central
Kanpur Central has emerged as a primary hub for candidate movement. To prevent platform congestion and manage the heavy influx of passengers heading toward Prayagraj, railway authorities have successfully deployed three special unreserved train rakes at one-hour intervals. To maintain order and guide candidates effectively, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Government Railway Police (GRP) have been stationed prominently across the station.
Additional Rakes and Special Services
The railways are taking proactive steps to prepare for the upcoming exam dates on October 25, October 30, and November 1, 2026. For the final examination scheduled for November 1, six additional rakes have already been reserved. A broader regional strategy includes 10 extra rakes dedicated to special services connecting the following routes:
- Jhansi to Khajuraho
- Prayagraj to Lucknow
- Mathura and Jhansi connections
Specific special train services identified for this period include:
- Balrampur-Kanpur Central Special: 05153/05154
- Prayagraj-Mainpuri Unreserved Special: 01825/26
Route Extensions and Timing Adjustments
In addition to new special trains, the railways have optimized existing services to accommodate the heavy passenger load. This includes the route extension of nine regular trains and timing adjustments for three specific services. These changes impact several key sections, including:
- Kanpur Central–Fatehpur
- Etawah–Kanpur Central
- Kanpur Central–Tundla
- Kanpur Central–Lucknow
- Kanpur Central–Raebareli
- Kanpur Central–Khajuraho
"These operational adjustments are being implemented dynamically based on real-time passenger loads," confirmed Amit Kumar Singh, Public Relations Officer for the Prayagraj division.
State Government Support and Security
The Uttar Pradesh government is also playing a vital role in assisting candidates. To supplement the railway network, 150 additional roadways buses have been deployed. Furthermore, dedicated help desks have been set up at various stations to provide real-time assistance to students.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has issued strict directives to state officials, emphasizing the need to prioritize the security of all candidates. He has also instructed authorities to closely monitor social media platforms throughout the examination period to maintain public order and safety.
