Vande Bharat Sleeper Tundla Stop Requested!

Shrikrishna Gautam, a member of the Zonal Railway Users Consultative Committee (ZRUCC) for North Central Railway, has formally petitioned the Railway Board for a Vande Bharat Sleeper Tundla stop. In a letter dispatched on Tuesday to the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Railway Board, Gautam underscored the strategic importance of Tundla Junction for passengers traversing the region.

A Vital Transit Hub for Local Districts

According to the proposal, Tundla serves as a critical transit hub for residents and travelers across several key districts, including Agra, Firozabad, Mathura, and Etah. By facilitating a scheduled halt at this location, officials argue that accessibility would be significantly improved for a broad demographic of commuters within the North Central Railway network.

Current Status of the Proposal

While the Vande Bharat Sleeper service has begun its deployment phase as of October 2026, the inclusion of additional stops remains a subject of ongoing administrative review. As of late October 2026, no official decision from the Railway Board regarding the potential inclusion of Tundla as a stop for this premium service has been announced.
