Bihar First Vande Sleeper Train Ready to Run From Danapur Patna to Delhi. Fare, Route Announced.

Exciting news for train travelers in Bihar! The much-anticipated Vande Bharat Sleeper Train is about to make its debut with a special trial run starting on October 30, 2024. This advanced train will initially operate between Patna and Delhi, offering only sleeper seats during its trial phase. Preparations for this prestigious service are already underway, spearheaded by the Danapur Railway Division.

Key Details of the Trial Run

According to the Ministry of Railways, the Vande Bharat Sleeper Train will undergo a series of trial runs between Patna and Delhi. The first train is scheduled to depart from Delhi to Patna on October 30, with the return journey on October 31. The trial will continue with additional trips on November 1, November 3, and November 6, with return journeys on November 2, November 4, and November 7.

This trial phase marks an important step towards a full-fledged service, giving passengers a glimpse of the convenience and speed the Vande Bharat Sleeper Train is expected to bring.

Quick and Comfortable Journey

One of the standout features of the Vande Bharat Sleeper Train is its impressive journey duration. Covering the distance between Patna and Delhi in just 11 hours and 35 minutes, this train promises both speed and comfort.

  • Departure from Patna: 7:30 AM
  • Arrival in Delhi: 7:00 PM

The return journey follows a similar schedule:

  • Departure from Delhi: 8:25 AM
  • Arrival in Patna: 8:00 PM

With this reduced travel time, the Vande Bharat Sleeper Express is poised to become a preferred choice for passengers on this busy route.

Route and Stops

The Vande Bharat Sleeper Train will make several stops along the way, ensuring connectivity with key junctions. On its journey from New Delhi to Patna, the train will halt at:

  • Kanpur
  • Prayagraj
  • Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction
  • Buxar
  • Ara Junction

Similarly, on the return journey from Patna to New Delhi, the train will make stops at:

  • Ara
  • Buxar
  • Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction
  • Prayagraj
  • Kanpur

Fare Information

For the initial phase, only chair car seats are available. Passengers traveling in the Chair Car class from Delhi to Patna will need to pay ₹2,575. Those opting for the Executive Chair Car will be charged ₹4,655, which includes meals and refreshments to enhance the travel experience.

No Sleeper Berths During Trial

It’s important to note that during the trial phase, sleeper berths will not be available. Passengers will need to complete the journey seated. However, once the trial phase is successfully completed, there is a high likelihood that sleeper berths will be introduced as a regular feature.

This new service is expected to provide much-needed relief during the upcoming festive season, especially during Diwali and Chhath, when trains are typically booked to capacity.
