02270 (Lucknow-Chhapra) and 02269 (Chhapra-Lucknow) will benefit passengers in Sultanpur, Varanasi, Ghazipur, Ballia, and Suremanpur. This train will leave from Lucknow at 2:15 p.m and will arrive in Chhapra at 9:30 pm.

With Diwali and Chhath Puja just around the corner, trains bound for Bihar are fully booked, and many passengers reserved their tickets months ago. For those who couldn’t secure a seat, Indian Railways has launched a special Vande Bharat train from Lucknow to Chhapra Junction, Bihar, providing an option for last-minute travel to the state during the festival season.

Chhapra is a key railway hub in North Bihar, connecting to several districts like Siwan, Gopalganj, Vaishali, and Muzaffarpur. This new train makes it easier for passengers to reach their hometowns in Bihar, and tickets are currently available for both Diwali and Chhath.

This Vande Bharat train runs six days a week, with Tuesday as the only non-operational day. Its route provides a convenient option not just for passengers heading to Bihar but also for those from Eastern UP, like Ballia and Ghazipur, where Chhath Puja is celebrated with great enthusiasm.

The Vande Bharat train offers two classes, each with different fare levels for a comfortable journey.

This service is also beneficial for travelers from Delhi facing a shortage of direct tickets to Bihar. Delhi residents can travel to Lucknow via another train or a UP government bus, then catch the Vande Bharat train to Chhapra, avoiding the festive season’s crowds and ensuring a smoother journey.
