The Indian Railways is set to introduce the first Vande Bharat Sleeper Express train, which will run between Delhi and Patna. This train will also pass through Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh, making it a significant addition to the rail network.
This new train promises to offer better services and higher speeds compared to the existing Rajdhani Express trains. It’s expected to start running before Diwali, which is just around the corner.
As of September 1, 2025, there are already 150 Vande Bharat train services operating across India. This includes 75 trains running in each direction, making travel more convenient for passengers.
Due to the high demand from travelers, the government has increased the number of coaches on these trains. Now, there are 13 pairs of 20-coach Vande Bharat Express trains running on various routes throughout the country.
Looking ahead, the Ministry of Railways plans to add even more coaches to three pairs of Vande Bharat trains. This expansion aims to enhance the overall travel experience for passengers across the nation.
