This article discusses train delays from Mumbai due to a technical issue with a freight train.
On Sunday morning, five trains heading from Mumbai to Manmad faced delays of 1 to 1.5 hours. This happened because a freight train had a problem between the Lahavit and Devlali railway stations.
The issue started around 7:45 AM when the empty freight train encountered a snag. A team of technicians quickly got to work and managed to fix the problem by 10:45 AM, allowing train services to resume.
Passengers on trains like Tapovan Express, Gitanjali Express, Vande Bharat Express, LTT – Ajamgarh Express, and a Holiday Special were stuck at stations for about an hour to 90 minutes due to these delays.
Once the technical issue was resolved, the freight train was taken to Devlali Camp Railway Station. Train traffic on the down line was restored by 11 AM, which helped clear the backlog of delayed trains.
Overall, the situation improved by late morning, and normal train services resumed. Travelers are advised to check their train schedules for any updates.
