The government has announced that the Vande Bharat Express will start service between Ernakulam in Kerala and Bengaluru in Karnataka by mid-November. This update was shared by the Union Railways Minister recently.
This decision came after a virtual meeting between the minister and the BJP team in Kerala, where the new train route was proposed. The minister confirmed on social media that the plan has been approved and the train will launch in November.
Along with this new express train, there will also be 488 special trains during the festive season to help many passengers travel easily across Kerala. The exact dates and timings for the new train service will be shared soon.
The railway minister also approved four big railway projects, adding about 894 kilometers to the national network. These projects will improve both passenger and cargo transport across several states.
These initiatives reflect the government’s commitment to enhance India’s railway system, making travel more efficient between important cities. The focus is on strengthening key railway corridors to support the growing needs of passengers and freight.
