The existing Shatabdi Express from Secunderabad to Pune might be replaced by the Vande Bharat service soon. The Shatabdi takes about eight and a half hours to cover this route and operates six days a week.
The railways are responding to the growing popularity of Vande Bharat trains, which are running full on routes to Visakhapatnam and Tirupati. This addition will strengthen the rail network in the region significantly.
