What’s inside:

This article shares news about Indian Railways successfully testing the Vande Bharat Express at high speed.

Indian Railways has taken a big step forward with technology and safety. On Friday, they successfully tested the Vande Bharat Express, fitted with the Kavach system, between Gaya and Saramatan. The train reached a speed of 160 kilometers per hour.

This test is a significant boost for the Eastern Central Railway. It opens up new possibilities for running trains like Rajdhani, Duronto, and other superfast services. The trial was conducted over a distance of about 88 kilometers with the help of various railway officials.

Currently, the maximum speed for trains on the Delhi-Hawrah route is 130 km/h, but plans are underway to increase this to 160 km/h. There are preparations to run trains from Gaya Junction to Pradhankhenta at this high speed soon.

One interesting aspect of this trial was the involvement of a technical team from Italy, which seemed satisfied with the testing process. The tests were conducted in phases between October 5 and 10, starting with a single engine and moving on to various train configurations.

The success of this trial is a promising sign for future train journeys. With further developments, trains could eventually reach speeds of 200 km/h, making train travel feel as fast as flying in an airplane.

Summary:

  • Vande Bharat Express tested at 160 km/h successfully.

  • This opens new possibilities for high-speed train services.

  • Current maximum speed on key routes is set to increase.

  • Italian team participated in the trial, ensuring safety standards.

  • Future plans include achieving speeds up to 200 km/h.
