The new Muzaffarpur-Kapurpura railway line is expected to start operations in November, enhancing train services in the region.
The Muzaffarpur-Kapurpura new railway line is expected to begin operation in November. This update comes from the Samastipur railway division, which is preparing for a safety inspection.
The railway officials mentioned that the inspection by the Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS) will likely take place in the first week of November. Once the inspection is done and the line is approved, train services will start.
This new line will help trains run faster between Muzaffarpur and Narkatiaganj. It is expected that trains will not have to stop for crossings, improving travel times for passengers.
Currently, approximately 34 trains operate regularly on the Muzaffarpur-Sugauli rail section, along with some special trains and freight services. This upgrade will benefit many travelers, especially those from Tirhut, Champaran, and Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh.
In addition, the newly doubled rail line will allow trains to run at speeds up to 130 km/h. This should resolve current delays, especially for the Vande Bharat train, which often gets held up at Kapurpura.
