Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit West Bengal for two days, starting from Saturday. He will kick off the visit by launching India’s first sleeper Vande Bharat train service from Malda to Guwahati, which is a significant development for the state.

Singur is historically important as it was the center of protests against land acquisition during the Left Front government, led by Mamata Banerjee. PM Modi’s visit aims to energize the BJP’s campaign ahead of the upcoming elections in the state.
